Investment orientation is direction and industrial regulation that the government makes according to economic environment and developing tendency, a foreign investment policy published non-periodically by the State Economic Development Committee, the State Planning Committee and the State Foreign Trade and Economic Cooperation Department and the basis that the government directs, examines and approves foreign investment project and applicable industrial policy for foreign invested enterprise.
The guidance is divided into:
• Encouraged trades: project encouraged by the Government for foreign businessmen to invest, mainly including manufacture industry and hi-tech projects.
•Permitted: trades beyond the encouraged, restricted, and prohibited industries.
•Restricted: discouraged by the Government, including environment-pollution projects
•Prohibited: prohibited by the Government, including ideological project such as propaganda and publication.
