Heyuan, an urban district at county level, is located at the northeastern of the Guangdong Province with a area of 1,580 square meters and a population of 3,100,000, and officially made up of a urban district (Yuan cheng) and five countries as follows Dongyuan, Longshan, Zijin, Heping, Lianping.

Heyuan is equipped with convenient transportation and advanced communication networks. Heyuan, 200 km away from Guangzhou and Hong Kong, is at the junction of The Beijing-Kowloon and Guangzhou-Meizhou-Shantou Railway. Besides with the National Highways No. 205 and 105 as well as the three Expressways under construction---Hehui Expressway, Hemei Expressway and Yuegan Expressway, the local land transportation conditions are in good shape. The Eastern River is able to reach Huangpu Port, one of the largest ports in China.
